Bisons Fall in Syracuse

By WKBW Sports

Curtis Thigpen ripped a two-out single to plate Hector Luna from second base and give Syracuse a 3-2 victory over the Bisons in ten innings Monday night. The play came just two batters after Andy Gonzalez had thrown out Buck Coats at the plate for the second out of the inning. The Chiefs Bill Murphy tossed a season-high seven innings with nine strikeouts, but received a no-decision in the start. Tracy Thorpe (2-0) pitched a scoreless tenth for the win.

The Chiefs and Bisons meet again Tuesday night and Syracuse will try to run its win streak to six this year against Buffalo (and seven dating back to last year). Kane Davis (2-3) is scheduled to be opposed by lefty Jeremy Sowers (1-2).
