Andy Gonzalez homered, and Jeremy Sowers pitched seven innings of five-hit baseball to lead the Bisons to a 5-2 win over Charlotte Thursday night.

Gonzalez' fourth blast of the season came in the fifth and gave the Herd a 4-1 lead. That was more than enough for Sowers, as the lefty struck out six, giving up just one run en route to his first win of the season.

The same two teams meet again for a Friday Night Bash at Dunn Tire Park, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm.
