On Tuesday, the Buffalo News reported that Buffalo Bills linebacker Manny Lawson could face a suspension for a domestic incident.  Wednesday, Lawson told 7ABC he has "no idea" where that report came from.

"’I'm shocked as everybody else is," Lawson said. "I don’t know what’s going on. I’ve reached out to the NFL. I’ve reached out to the organization and we’re trying to get to the bottom of this."

The veteran linebacker says he hasn't heard back from the league after attempting to contact them on Tuesday night.

"I don’t know when the tweet came out but we reached out all last night, and I’ve been in meetings and practices all today so we’ll hear and find out what goes on."

Lawson, who returned to practice just Tuesday, says rehabbing has been the focus of his offseason, and that's all that he's done.

"There isn’t anything besides this [pectoral injury] that’s happened this offseason."

When asked if this was a case of mistaken identity, Lawson replied "I honestly don’t know what happened, I’m not going to speculate. All I’m going to say is we’re going to get to the bottom of it."

Buffalo Bills General Manager Doug Whaley said he has yet to hear anything from the league about Lawson.
