Well, it certainly started off with a bang.

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan went to the podium for his weekly address to reporters on the Monday after a regular season game, and unearthed his most recent attention-grabbing moment:

Clearly, the New England Patriots are the upcoming opponents for the Bills, and Rex Ryan has long admired and referred to them from afar. So, in the spirit of the upcoming week sure to be full of Patriots quotes here, there, and everywhere... this is everything Rex Ryan had to say about the New England Patriots.

Q: Rex it isn’t any secret how highly you view the Patriots, you started off the press conference mimicking Bill Belichick. Considering you came close against them last year on Monday Night Football, what would it mean to beat the Patriots this week, especially seeing as how they’re 3-0?
A: It would mean a lot to our football team. I think when you look at it, they’ve been the standard of this league. Not just in our conference or division or whatever. They’ve been the standard of the league. So you want to put yourself up against the best. I think everybody saw what happened when everybody’s: “No Tom Brady, this team is going to be a disaster.” Well they’re 3-0 last time I checked and beat some pretty good football teams. So, yeah, it’ll mean a lot. We need a win in the worst way. But, as far as the Patriots, I think, my admiration is really for Belichick more than anything. As a coach, that’s the guy, that’s the best. He’ll go down as probably the best in the history of the game. So, I like poking fun at him and all that stuff but there’s no coach I respect more than him.

Q: Are you going to wear a cutoff sweater?
A: I’m thinking about it.

Q: How amazed are you to see, without Brady, what they’ve been able to do?
A: Well Brady’s probably the best player in the league. So, it’s hard to replace guys like that. But, they are a team. They’ve always been built as a team anyway. But it has been impressive.

Q: How does your game plan change from Garoppolo, to Brissett, to Edelman, whichever one of those guys will be playing quarterback?
A: Well we’ll be prepared for them. We’re looking at all their talents and all that. The Patriots are a little different. They may take an entire game plan, and throw that away and look at you differently then they look at other teams. So, I’m watching them play Miami, and they’re chipping their defensive ends. Will they do that to us? I don’t know. Looks like to us, they do a lot of empty. So, we’ll see how they decide to play us, we’ll be ready for everything.

Q: How much do you expect the Patriots to kind of withhold maybe who starts and hold off until maybe Friday or Sunday?
A: I expect them immediately to tell us. As soon as they tell us, we’ll be like, “yeah, ok.” Nobody would believe it anyway, Nah, I don’t know. We’re not going to find out until kickoff.

Q: Bill has a history of taking away your best weapon, which obviously here is maybe LeSean (McCoy), the offense goes through him. Which forces Tyrod (Taylor) to maybe make some plays in the passing game. Do you have to get better there, given what you’ve seen in the last three weeks, in order for that to happen?
A: Well, we’d like to have more production, there’s no doubt about it. I think it was going to be tough this last week. Obviously, we really didn’t know that we wouldn’t have Sammy Watkins. We didn’t know we wouldn’t have Greg Salas right up until game time. So that was pretty tough. But we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully those guys will be in. We’ll be able to get after it. If you’re going to pack them all down there to stop the run, that should give us some opportunities outside.

Q: What would you attribute to the Patriots playing as well as they have without Brady?
A: They have an excellent football team. They do a great job, guys, they know their roles. They have a lot of veteran players that have been in systems for a long time. You take Edelman, he replaces a Welker. They just keep rolling on. So they draft and they get players to fit their system and they do a phenomenal job of it.

Q: How does Chris Hogan look on the field?
A: He looks good. Always a big fan of Chris’. He made a great catch up the seam the other day. He’s just a productive guy. Hated to lose him, quite honestly. You know what, there’s a reason he’s making the money. He earned it and is doing a nice job for them.
