BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - When it comes to putting together a front office staff, new Bills General Manager Brandon Beane has some work to do.
After Terry and Kim Pegula gutted the front office after the draft, two days after being introduced, Beane made his first hire in piecing together his staff adding Joe Schoen as assistant general manager.
Schoen joins the Bills after spending the last nine years with the Miami Dolphins. He served as the director of player personnel since 2014.
And yes, you guessed it: There is a Panthers connection.
Both Beane and Schoen began their front office careers in Carolina as interns. Schoen spent the first seven years of his career with the Panthers as a scout before joining the Dolphins in 2008.
