Pittsford (WKBW) QB Kevin Kolb was not in attendance for the teams practice on Sunday but his absence may be short lived. Bills Head Coach Doug Marrone revealed on Sunday that Kolb may be able to participate in the teams live scrimmage on Monday.
"We are trying to get him back for tomorrow we just kept him out today", said Marrone. "We think we have a good opportunity to do that", Marrone continued. Kolb injured his knee when he slipped on a mat between fields on Saturday. He's considered day-to-day.
-Bills DE Mario Williams continued his return from a sore foot. Williams worked through several reps in live action team drills on Sunday. His left foot didn't appear to be bothering him.
-A solid first week for QB EJ Manuel ended with mixed results on Sunday. Manuel threw a pair of interceptions. The rookie was picked off by LB Kiko Alonso. CB Stephon Gilmore came up with the play of the day leaping for an interception earlier in practice. HC Doug Marrone chalked up Manuel's up-and-down day as an important one.
"Today was a great day for him.", said Marrone. "We did a lot of third down today. He threw two picks today. One was on him. The other was on something else that happened. A lineman or something to that sense. The one good thing was it was a third down day so he got alot of good work against tough looks", Marrone continued.
-The Bills announced that Training Camp practices on 8/8 and 8/13 from 8-11 am will now be open to the public.
