Former Bills receiver Andre Reed is once again left on the doorstep of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Reed failed to gain entry into the Hall for a sixth straight year.
Reed, the Bills all-time leading receiver, was among 15 finalists up for consideration. He made the final ten for a third consecutive year.
No wide receivers were selected for the Class of 2012. Tim Brown and Chris Carter, along with Reed, were among the 15 finalists. Carter survived to the final ten with Reed.
This year's Hall of Fame class includes offensive linemen Dermontti Dawson and Willie Roaf, defensive end/Linebacker Chris Doleman, defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy, running back Curtis Martin and Veterans Committee nominee cornerback Jack Butler. Butler is a St. Bonaventure alum.
