Pittsford (WKBW) Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus missed a second day of training camp on Monday. Eyewitness Sports Director Jeff Russo has learned that Dareus was absent to appear in court in Alabama.

Attorney Rod Giddens confirmed on Monday night that he accompanied the defensive tackle in court in Alabama where Dareus was formally accepted into The Pre-Trial Program. Dareus faces felony drug charges following an arrest in Cleburne County on May 5th.

Giddens said in an email "The judge commended him for accepting responsibility and for the recent camp he hosted for at risk kids." Giddens says that Dareus has to continue his participation in the NFL program relative to the matter and provide the court with periodic updates. Giddens added that successful completion will result in dismissal of all charges and under new law in Alabama his arrest and all other records could be expunged thereafter.

Dareus has not been spotted at training camp. He failed a fitness test over the weekend and has missed the first two practices. Head Coach Doug Marrone said on Monday that Dareus was excused to take care of "personal business". He was expected back at St. John Fisher College on Monday night.
