Saturday Training Camp Report: Bills Sign Sheppard

ORCHARD PARK, NY – (WKBW / Eyewitness Sports Director Jeff Russo, with anchor Shawn Stepner, and multi-media journalist Jason Gruenauer were at Buffalo Bills Training Camp Saturday at St. John Fisher College.

In addition to the team and coaches taking the field, The Buffalo Bills announced the signing of third-round draft selection (68th overall) Kelvin Sheppard. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sheppard, a three-year starter at Louisiana State, played in 53 games with 30 starts and finished ninth in school history with 311 tackles. The 6-2, 250-pound linebacker posted a Southeastern Conference third-best 116 tackles (46 solo) in 2010 en route to first-team SEC accolades.

Sheppard is the last of the Bills’ nine draft picks to sign with the team.
