Orchard Park (WKBW) The Buffalo Bills fifth win of the season came at a price. Center Eric Wood will miss between 2-4 weeks with a partially torn MCL in his knee that he suffered during the fourth quarter of Sunday's victory over the Jacksonville.
Wood said on Monday that he will not need surgery, but is disappointed about missing time once again. Wood has been plagued by injuries in his four year career. "It's unbelievable", said Wood on Monday. "Just stupid stuff keeps happening. I played in 49 straight games in college and never got banged up. All I can do at this point is hope I'm ready for the final two games"
The Bills could also be without tackle Chris Hairston for the game against St. Louis. Hairston suffered a severely bruised ankle/foot in the win over the Jaguars and will be a long shot to play against the Rams.
The injuries mean the Bills will obviously mix things up on the offensive line. Kraig Urbik will move in at center. David Snow goes to right guard, and Sam Young will fill the void at tackle.
The Bills may also need to make a roster move to add depth on the line. The Bills made some room by releasing LB Kirk Morrison on Monday. Morrison was inactive for the first 12 games of the season.
