ORCHARD PARK, NY (WKBW) - The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team claimed and was awarded TE Scott Chandler off waivers.

Chandler joins the Bills after being waived by the Dallas Cowboys. He appeared in nine games this season with the Cowboys. The 6-7, 272-pound tight end originally entered the NFL as 2007 fourth-round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers. Chandler also spent the 2009 season on the Cowboys practice squad before being signed to the active roster of the NY Giants for the final two games. The Iowa product finished his college career ranked second in school history among tight ends with 117 receptions for 1,476 yards.

Chandler will wear #84.

The Bills also announced that LB Reggie Torbor has been placed on injured reserve.
