Bills select OT Ed Wang in fifth round

Orchard Park (WKBW.com) The Buffalo Bills added an offensive tackle in the fifth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday. The Bills selected Virginia Tech tackle Ed Wang with the 140th overall pick.



The 6-4, 314 pound Wang was a three year starter at Virginia Tech. He came to campus as a tight end, but made the conversion to a consistent left tackle. "He's rarely beat", said Bills Coordinator of College Scouting Doug Majeski. "He plays well on his feet and he can run. He's physical and he's quick" .



Wang is the first Chinese American to be drafted in the NFL.
"I take great pride in that", said Wang in a conference call. "I'm really excited to have an opportunity to come to the Bills."



The Bills now have four picks remaining on this the third and final day of the NFL Draft.
