(WKBW) Sweet Home feels right at home in the state finals. For the third time in the last five years the Panthers will play for a state championship after a 40-22 win over Union-Endicott in the Class "A" State Semifinals on Friday night.

The Panthers trailed 22-19 at the half but took the lead on the first play from scrimmage in the third quarter. Mike McCoy ran 65 yards for the touchdown to put Sweet Home up 26-22 and the Panthers never looked back. On the night the Panthers rushed for 185 yards.

Josh Roe sealed the deal for the Panthers when he stripped Union-Endicott quarterback Joey Orlando in the fourth quarter and returned it for the touchdown to put Sweet Home up 40-22.

The Panthers will play for a third state championship in the last five years next Friday at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
