Buffalo (WKBW/Release) The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has agreed to terms to re-sign TE Scott Chandler. ESPN is reporting it's a two-year deal for the veteran.

Eyewitness Sports Director Jeff Russo exchanged messages with Chandler shortly after the deal was announced. "I'm very excited to be back in Buffalo", said Chandler. "I really enjoy my teammates and the coaching staff. My wife and I love WNY and couldn't be happier. To the Fans thank you for your continued support and can't wait to see you at the Ralph!", continued Chandler.

Chandler led Buffalo’s offense and set career-highs of 53 catches for 655 yards with two touchdowns in 2013. He holds a team record for the most consecutive games with a catch as a tight end (32), ranks fourth in team history at his position in receptions (135) and touchdowns (14) and is the only tight end in Buffalo’s history to record back-to-back 500 yard receiving campaigns (2012-2013).

In 59 career games (30 starts), Chandler has made 135 catches for 1,623 yards and 14 touchdowns. Chandler originally joined the Bills after being claimed and awarded off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys on December 3, 2010. The 6-7, 260-pound Iowa product entered the NFL as 2007 fourth-round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers. He spent the 2009 season on the Cowboys practice squad before being signed to the active roster of the New York Giants for the final two games.
