Buffalo (WKBW) The final home game before the Olympic break turned into a frustrating affair at the First Niagara Center. The Buffalo Sabres were simply overmatched in a 5-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night.

Sidney Crosby had a goal and an added an assist in the victory. Harry Zolnierczyk, Evgeni Malkin, Brian Gibbons and James Neal also scored for the Penguins.

Drew Stafford scored the lone goal for Buffalo. Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller surrendered 5 goals on 34 shots. It was not the night Miller was hoping for in front of Team USA and Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma. Miller will represent the United States at the upcoming Olympic games. Bylsma has yet to announce who will be his starter in Sochi.
