Buffalo (WKBW) The Buffalo Sabres had their chances but couldn't beat Ottawa goaltender Craig Anderson on Tuesday night. Anderson made 42 saves to hand the Sabres a 2-0 shutout loss at Scotiabank place. The loss dropped Buffalo to 5-8-1 on the season.
The Senators broke open a scoreless tie with second period goals from Erik Karlson and Erik Condra. The Sabres spent much of the night killing of 9 penalties, and went 0-4 on the power play. Ryan Miller made 29 saves in the loss.
The Sabres host the Boston Bruins on Friday at the First Niagara Center.
