VANCOUVER, B.C. (WKBW) - The Buffalo Sabres scored two goals in the first four minutes of the game to take an early 2-0 lead on the road in Vancouver, but then gave up the next four goals as they fell to the Canucks 4-2 Sunday night.

Tyler Ennis opened the scoring just 1:11 in, netting his 19th of the year on a wrister that beat Canucks goaltender Eddie Lack.

The Sabres followed it up just over a minute later on a shot that trickled in off the stick of Jaime McBain to give Buffalo a quick 2-0 lead.

Nathan Lieuwen looked sharp early in only his second career NHL start, but Lieuwen and the Sabres gave up the next four goals, including two to tie it before the end of the first period.

Lieuwen stopped 32 of the 36 shots he faced. Vancouver back-up Eddie Lack turned aside 16 of the 18 shots the Sabres sent his way.

Buffalo's road trip continues as they visit Montreal on Tuesday and then head to Nashville on Thursday before coming home to host Tampa Bay next Saturday.
