Sabres fall to Panthers

Buffalo (WKBW) Drew Stafford scored a pair of first period goals but it wasn't enough as the Buffalo Sabres fell to the Florida Panthers 4-3 on Tuesday night. The loss was the fourth straight for the Sabres.

The Panthers scored a pair of goals :52 apart late in the first period to take a 3-2 lead and never trailed again. Nick Bjugstad scored the eventual game winner at 16:12 of the second period to give Florida a 4-2 lead.

Steve Ott scored in the third period on the power play. It was the 100th career goal for the Sabres forward. Buffalo goaltender Ryan Miller surrendered 4 goals on 22 shots.

The Sabres host Columbus on Thursday.
