Buffalo (WKBW.com) Jhonas Enroth did his part. The Buffalo Sabres goaltender made a season high 37 saves but it wasn't enough to avoid a 2-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Monday night.
The Jets Antti Miettinen scored the game winning goal with 7:36 left in the third period for Winnipeg. The win moved the Jets within a single point of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with two games to play.
Aaron Gagnon put Winnipeg on the board with his third goal of the season in the second period.
Thomas Vanek scored the lone goal for the Sabres. His 18th of the season came on the power play in the second period. Buffalo plays at Pittsburgh on Tuesday before wrapping up the season on Friday at home against the New York Islanders.
