Sabres fall flat in loss against Lightning
Tampa (WKBW) Momentum? What momentum? The Buffalo Sabres watched a three-game winning streak come to an end with an uninspired effort on Tuesday night. The Sabres were out shot 23-to-14 in a 2-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Steven Stamkos and Martin St. Louis scored for Tampa Bay, and Mathieu Garon made 14 saves. Jordan Leopold scored the Sabres lone goal. Buffalo winger Thomas Vanek left the game with an upper body injury in the third period and did not return. The Sabres play the Florida Panthers on Thursday.
