Buffalo (WKBW) Ryan Miller made 34 saves to help the Buffalo Sabres to a 2-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night. The win improved the Sabres to 2-0 to start the season.
Buffalo got goals from Cody Hodgson and Jason Pominville. Hodgson scored his second of the season when a Christian Ehrhoff shot glanced off of him and into the net in the first period. Pominville had a goal and an assist on the night. His first goal of the season was set up by Thomas Vanek in the second period.
Nazem Kadri spoiled Miller's shutout with a goal at 18:18 of the third period. The 2-0 Sabres head to Carolina on Thursday
