Sabres Select Locals Bailey and Malone

NEWARK, NJ - (WKBW) The Buffalo Sabres selected Williamsville native Justin Bailey with the 52nd overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Bailey, a forward, played for Kitchener of the Ontario Hockey League last year.

Another local forward heard his name called by the Sabres later in the night. West Seneca native Sean Malone was selected by Buffalo with the club's sixth-round pick, 159th overall .

The Sabres also picked forward Connor Hurley at 38th overall. Hurley is from Minnesota and is a Notre Dame recruit.

WIth the 69th overall selection, the Sabres then selected winger Nick Baptiste from Sudbury (OHL).

At pick 129 they selected goalie Cal Peterson from Waterloo of the USHL.

With the 130th pick, Buffalo selected right wing Gustav Possler of Sweden.

With the 143rd overall pick the Sabres selected Anthony Florentino of South Kent Prep.

With their seventh-round pick (189th overall) the Sabres selected center Eric Locke from Saginaw (OHL).
