Buffalo (WKBW) Another night. Another loss on the road for the Buffalo Sabres. Jason Pominville scored the eventual game winning goal as the Minnesota Wild knocked off Buffalo 4-1 on Thursday night. The setback kept the Sabres winless in the teams last ten games away from the First Niagara Center.

The Wild had lost six straight in regulation but came to life in the second period. Marco Scandella opened the scoring with his 2nd goal of the season at 4:33 to give Minnesota a 1-0 lead. Less then two minutes later former Sabres captain Jason Pominville added his 18th of the year to make it 2-0 Wild. Jason Zucker capped off a three goal period for Minnesota with his first of the season at 16:09 of the third.

Matt Ellis scored the Sabres lone goal in the third period. The forward poked home a rebound for his second goal of the season. Minnesota's Kyle Brodziak was awarded an empty net goal oat 16:09 of the third after getting hauled down by Christian Ehrhoff.

The Sabres host New Jersey on Saturday.
