AMHERST, NY (WKBW) - With the NHL lockout over, Sabres players hopped back on the ice for some informal practice on Monday. There was an extra glide in their stride knowing the league's labor unrest has ended.
The NHL and its players association came to terms on a new ten-year collective bargaining agreement on Sunday.
Emotions varied following the workout. All players we talked to were excited to get back to work, while Thomas Vanek voiced his displeasure with the whole process. Vanek even called the lockout 'stupid' and 'sad'.
