BUFFALO, NY - (WKBW) Make it four consecutive losses for the Sabres. Buffalo lost to the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday night, 3-1.
Sabres center Cody Hodgson scored the first goal of the game in the first period. It was his eighth of the season.
The Wings got on the board in the second period as Darren Helm sent a backhand past Ryan Miller.
Johan Franzen's power play marker 11:43 into the third period proved to be the game-winner. His shot bounced off Sabres defenseman Alex Sulzer and into the net.
Daniel Alfredsson added an empty-net goal.
The Sabres next host the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday.
