DENVER, CO - (WKBW) A pair of goals by Gabriel Landeskog and two more by Jamie McGinn lead the Colorado Avalanche past the Buffalo Sabres Saturday 7-1.

The Avs scored three times in the first period on goals by Tyson Barrie, McGinn (power play) and Landeskog.

Marc-Andre Cliche gave Colorado a 4-0 lead in the second period before the Sabres' Matt D'Agostini broke the shutout.

Nathan McKinnon (power play) beat Ryan Miller before the end of the middle frame.

Jhonas Enroth replaced Miller in goal to start the third period. Landeskog and McGinn scored on Enroth.

The Sabres next host the Edmonton Oilers on Monday.
