Rolston Officially Named Sabres Head Coach

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Buffalo Sabres Darcy Regier announced Tuesday that current interim head coach Ron Rolston has permanently been named as head coach.

Rolston has served as interim head coach since February 20th, when former head coach Lindy Ruff was fired.

Since then, Rolston led the team to a 15-11-5 record. He is now the 16th head coach in franchise history.

Prior to joining the Sabres, Rolston was the head coach of the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League, where he compiled a 63-44-17 record.
