Rocker Bon Jovi again linked to Bills

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Rumors and speculation began to swirl last year that musician Jon Bon Jovi was interested in purchasing the Buffalo Bills.

That was at a time when Bills owner Ralph Wilson Jr. was still alive.

With the passing of Mr. Wilson last month, reports of Bon Jovi's interest in the team have again surfaced.

A Bleacher Report blog post by Dan Pompei Thursday says that Bon Jovi is expected to "make a push to purchase the Bills, perhaps in concert with Maple Leafs magnate Larry Tanenbaum."

When reached for comment on the report, Ken Sunshine, a spokesperson for Bon Jovi told Eyewitness Sports in a statement, "Jon remains passionate in his pursuit of an NFL franchise."

He did not elaborate on whether that franchise is, in fact, the Buffalo Bills, or what his plans for the team would be.

The news comes on the same day that members of the Bills Stadium work group confirmed that they are considering sites in Niagara Falls and other surrounding areas as a possible destination for a new stadium for the team.
