(WKBW) The Randolph Cardinals will spend Thanksgiving in Syracuse. The Cardinals knocked off Tioga 7-6 on Friday night to advance to the Class D State Championship game which will be played at the Carrier Dome the day after Thanksgiving.
Mitch Maycock hit Nathan Beaver on a 16-yard pass for the Cardinals only touchdown. Tioga scored in the fourth quarter on a run by Tyler Spiers, but instead of kicking the extra point opted to go for two. The Randolph defense stopped Spiers on the attempt to help secure the victory.
Randolph will play Tuckahoe in the Class D Championship game next Friday.
