BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) A new basketball tournament is coming to the Queen city this summer.

The Street Ball Remix tournament, organized by Buffalo's lone professional team, the Buffalo 716ers, is scheduled for June 28th and 29th at Tapestry Charter School in Buffalo.

Last week Eyewitness News learned the annual Gus Macker basketball tournament could move to Darien Lake, leaving basketball fans anxious for a new tournament here in the city.

"I think I'm going to try it," local basketball player Adrian Davis said. "I think it's a good idea, especially for the kids."

The tournament will include three-on-three basketball, a three point shooting contest and a dunk contest.

For more information you can call the team directly at (716) 986-3433.
