BUFFALO, NY - (WKBW) Sabres goalie Ryan Miller was at the top of his game during the Sabres home opener on Friday night. So was the man in the other crease. Ottawa goalie Craig Anderson made 35 saves to shutout the Sabres 1-0.

Miller made 45 stops in the contest and was unblemished until 1:35 to go in regulation. That's when Erik Karlsson scored the only goal of the game.

Sabres defenseman Henrik Tallinder suffered an upper-body injury in the contest.

The Sabres next visit Pittsburgh on Saturday.
