Cleveland (WKBW) Bills Safety Jairus Byrd missed his fifth straight game to start the season on Thursday night. This time it wasn't his call.
Head Coach Doug Marrone said after Sunday's 37-24 loss to the Browns that it was his decision not to play the two time pro-bowler. Marrone said that prior to the game Byrd relayed to him that he was well enough to play. Marrone decided against it. The decision came after Byrd worked out in front of Marrone, Bills GM Doug Whaley and trainers at FirstEnergy Stadium about 4 hours before the game.
Byrd has been dealing with plantar fasciitis, a foot condition.
