Indianapolis (WKBW) Former Lockport star and Toledo Running Back David Fluellen says he's been chasing the NFL dream since he was a youngster. "Since I was a little kid in the backyard with my friends running around catching the football", said Fluellen on Friday. "I always wanted to be at this setting", said Fluellen.
Fluellen is among 330 draft hopefuls here in Indianapolis trying to show
NFL teams that he's ready for a life in professional football. Fluellen says he's taking it all in. "RIght now it's just been a good experience meeting everyone. Coaches, owners, GMs. Stressful time management wise. They do a good job keeping you up pretty late. You know it's all part of the process." , Fluellen continued.
Fluellen rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his final two seasons at Toledo. He missed part of his senior campaign because of an ankle injury but says he's healthy and ready to impress scouts here at the combine. "Things are 100 percent. I'm able to do everything. Run, cut and jump. I just want to put on a show for everyone here.'
Fluellen says he'll watch the 2014 NFL Draft at home in Buffalo.
