BUFFALO, NY - (Bisons Press Release) Toronto Blue Jays LHP J.A. HAPP will join the Buffalo Bisons as part of an MLB injury rehabilitation assignment this week and is scheduled to start for the Herd on Thursday, April 10 against the Pawtucket Red Sox at Coca-Cola Field (6:05 p.m.).

Happ has not pitched during the 2014 regular season after being placed on the disabled list in spring training with lower back tightness. The southpaw was 5-7 with a 4.56 ERA in 18 starts for Toronto last season.

Happ also had an MLB injury rehabilitation assignment with the Bisons in 2013, joining the club on July 23. In three starts, he was 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 13.1 innings of work.

Happ has pitched in the big leagues in each of the last seven seasons and is a career 40-42 with a 4.25 ERA in 134 major league games with Philadelphia, Houston and the Blue Jays.
