Tampa (WKBW) Jhonas Enroth made 43 saves and Tyler Myers added a goal and an assist at the Buffalo Sabres knocked off the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-1 on Thursday night. The victory improved the Sabres to 4-1 since the Olympic Break.
Enroth weathered the early storm making 15 saves in the first period. Myers then gave the Sabres a 1-0 lead with his 9th goal of the season. Marcus Foligno extended the lead with his 7th goal of the season in second period. Cody Hodgson made it 3-0 Buffalo at 13:44 of the third.
Tyler Johnson scored the lone goal for Tampa Bay.
Sabres forward Chris Stewart was injured in the third period and did not return. Stewart was run into by Tampa goaltender Anders Lindback and suffered a lower body injury. Buffalo forward Zemgus Girgensons was also suffered a lower body injury in the win. Both are expected to miss the Sabres next game Friday in Florida.
