Orchard Park (WKBW) EJ Manuel picked up the first road victory of his NFL career on Sunday. Turns out the Bills quarterback played through a sprained knee to get it.

Head Coach Doug Marrone revealed on Monday afternoon that Manuel suffered a sprained left knee in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Marrone said he didn't know when the injury happened but believes it is minor. "I don't feel like it's going to be anything", said Marrone. "We have time. He's already watching the Miami tape to get himself ready", Marrone continued. Marrone said he was told of Manuel's injury on Monday morning when the quarterback came in for treatment. Bills players were given the day off.

Manuel shook off a tough start to lead the Bills to victory against Jacksonville. The first round pick finished 17 of 24 passing for 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also rushed for score and threw an interception.

This is the third knee injury that Manuel has dealt with as a rookie. The quarterback missed four games after suffering a sprained LCL in his right knee against the Cleveland Browns on October 3rd. Manuel also missed part of the preseason after a "minor procedure" on his left knee to reduce swelling.

The 4-and-9 Bills host the 8-and-6 Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
