Camp Wrap - 7/28 Practice Gets Fiesty

July 28, 2014 Updated Jul 28, 2014 at 9:47 PM EDT

Pittsford (WKBW) The preseason opener is just days away and judging from Monday's practice the Buffalo Bills can't wait to finally mix it up with another team.

It was a chippy workout right from the start at St. John Fisher College highlighted by a pair of scrums. First rookie tackle Cyrus Kouandjio tussled with DE Ike Iginosun among others. Later DE Bryan Johnson and C Macky MacPherson got into it.

"Anytime you’re competing as hard as we are in camp to accomplish what we want to accomplish, tempers will flare.", said Center Eric Wood. "Of course they did today. It generally happens in camp but the key is to leave it on the field and move on from it.", Wood continued.

At one point Head Coach Doug Marrone pulled the offense and defense together for a meeting to try and settle things down.

"You don’t want to get anybody hurt. We’ve still got preseason games and 16 regular season games to play for, so that’s what we’ve got to do. We’ve got to make sure that we’re all prepped for that. Fighting is irrelevant.", said Manny Lawson.
