Buffalo (WKBW.com) It's been over a week since the Buffalo Bills took a close look at quarterback Vince Young. There is no deal to report, but the agent for the veteran still sees the Bills as a possible landing spot.
In an email sent to Eyewitness Sports Director Jeff Russo Young's agent declined to update the status of any negotiations but says "Buffalo is still an option".
Young worked out for Bills officials last Wednesday in Orchard Park. He left without signing a contract.
Bills GM Buddy Nix has made it clear he is looking to add competition at the backup quarterback position behind Ryan Fitzpatrick. It remains unclear what other options Young may have. ESPN has reported that at least one other team has shown interest.
Young was the third overall pick in the 2006 draft. He went 30-and-17 as a starter in five seasons for the Tennessee Titans. He spent the 2011 season as a backup for Michael Vick in Philadelphia. Young played in 7 games and finished with 4 touchdowns and 9 interceptions for the Eagles.
