Orchard Park (WKBW) The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has promoted WR Marcus Easley to the 53-man roster.
Easley spent the first eight weeks of the season on the team’s Practice Squad. The 6-2, 217-pound wide receiver joined the Bills as a fourth-round (107th overall) draft selection in 2010, and spent the 2010 and 2011 seasons on Injured Reserve. He led Connecticut in his senior year with 48 receptions for 893 yards and eight touchdowns en route to All-Big East Conference second team honors.
Buffalo has placed CB Terrence McGee and OT Erik Pears on Injured Reserve. The team has also released K John Potter from the 53-man roster.
The Bills also announced the signing of WR Chris Hogan to the Practice Squad. Hogan, 6-1, 220-pound Monmouth (N.J.) product entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with San Francisco in 2011. He spent a portion of 2011 on the Practice Squads of the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins.
