Orchard Park (WKBW) The Buffalo Bills continued to add options to the defensive secondary in the fifth round of the NFL draft. The Bills selected Clemson Safety Jonathan Meeks with the 143th pick on Saturday.

At 6-foot-1, 210 pounds Meeks played in over 50 games at Clemson. He started in 13 games as a senior and finshed with 62 tackles and two interceptions. "I'm big, fast, strong and can hit", said Meeks on a conference call.

Bills scout Daryl Moody says that Meeks can play both at strong safety or free safety. It's that versatility, again, that fits in well with the type of defense that coordinator Mike Pettine likes to run. Moody described Meeks as a player with "good size, range and explosiveness"
