Bills "Disappointed" in Dareus Arrest on Drug Charges

May 7, 2014 Updated May 7, 2014 at 2:46 PM EDT

Buffalo (WKBW) Buffalo Bills General Manager Doug Whaley says he's "disappointed" in recent arrest of defensive tackle Marcell Dareus. Dareus was arrested in Alabama on Monday night and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

"We are, obviously, disappointed with this latest development involving Marcell Dareus.", said Whaley in a statement on Tuesday. "We will be in contact with the league regarding the situation and continue to offer support and assistance to Marcell", Whaley continued.

Dareus was a first round pick of the Bills in 2011.
