Bills Beat Jets in Season Finale

ORCHARD PARK (WKBW) The Bills gave the home fans something to cheer about, ending the year on a good note, and exacting some revenge for a season opening loss by winning the final game of the season against the New York Jets.

The Jets started the game running the ball all over the Bills defense, breaking the scoreless tie with a field goal on their first drive. Buffalo would answer on the defensive side of the ball a few drives later as Bryan Scott picked off quarterback Mark Sanchez, and returning it all the way to the endzone.

The Jets would hold a 9-7 lead late in the second quarter when CJ Spiller takes a screen pass 66 yards, turning on the afterburners all the way to the house for the Bills touchdown. The Bills would lead 14-9 at the half.

In the third, a CJ fumble would set up the Jets at the Buffalo 15. But the Bills defense would hold, and a blocked field goal attempt by Marcell Dareus would keep the game at 14-9.

The Bills would put some distance between themselves and their opponents in the fourth, using the wildcat formation, getting a rushing touchdown from Brad Smith. The Bills would add a security score by Tashard Choice late in the 4th to pull away and win 28-9.

The Bills finish the season at 6-10, last in the AFC East.
