Orchard Park (WKBW) The Buffalo Bills continued their theme of adding big offensive linemen on Saturday The Bills added big depth to their offensive front by selecting Guard Cyril Richardson out of Baylor in the fifth round (153)
Richardson, who stands at 6-foot-4 and is listed at 343 pounds, was a three-year starter for the Bears. In 2013 he was a finalist for the Outland Trophy, a unanimous All-American, and was named the "Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year'' for the second time in his career.
Ourlads Scouting Services on Richardson : "Powerful and aggressive. An explosive and violent player who manhandles his blocking targets"
Bills Director of Player Personnel Jim Monos on Richardson: "He's a big mauler type guard who can gain movement. We just love his power and strength. This guy has played against some of the top competition and played in the Senior Bowl. We followd him and it's just another big guard for us"
"We don't draft guys to be backups; we want guys to compete and challenge to start. I think that depends on how quickly he comes in and picks things up. That's hard for a lot of guys, but if he comes in and picks things up he has the ability. Guys like him play in the NFL and start".
