(Atlanta) Another slow start led to another road loss for the Sabres, in a 4-3 setback on Tuesday night.
The Thrashers chased Buffalo goaltender Ryan Miller with three goals in the first six minutes. The Sabres battled back to tie the game at three in the third period, but Jim Slater scored the eventual game winning goal for Atlanta at the 13:16 mark of the third period.
Jason Pominville, Matt Ellis and Tim Kennedy scored for the Sabres who continue their four game southern swing with a stop in Tampa Bay on Thursday.
