Sabres Lose in Detroit in OT

The Buffalo Sabres fell to the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night, 3-2 in overtime.

Pavel Datsyuk and Patrick Eaves scored 1:13 apart in the opening 3:15 of the game to give the Wings a quick two-goal advantage.

Jochen Hecht tallied once in the first period and again in the second period to up his season goal total to 16.

Brian Rafalski scored a power-play goal :31 into overtime to provide the game-winner.

Ryan Miller made 34 saves for the Sabres. Jimmy Howard stopped 24 pucks for the Red Wings.

The Sabres visit Atlanta on Tuesday.
