BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) The Buffalo Sabres lost to the Minnesota Wild on Friday night 3-2.
The Wild jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 10:11 of the game. Andrew Ebbett (power play) and Guillaume Latendresse scored first period goals for Minnesota. Andrew Brunette gave the Wild a 3-0 lead as he scored late in the second period.
Thomas Vanek scored a pair of goals in the third, one on the power play, to bring his season goal total to 22.
Patrick Lalime made 30 saves for Buffalo. Josh Harding stopped 43 shots for Minnesota.
The Sabres start a five-game road trip on Saturday in Detroit. Ryan Miller is scheduled to get the start in goal for Buffalo.
