Sabres Send Stars Away Losers

Make it three straight wins for the Buffalo Sabres. They beat the Dallas Stars 5-3 on Wednesday night inside HSBC Arena.

Each team tallied three times in the first period. Tyler Myers, Mark Mancari, and Jason Pominville scored for Buffalo. Toby Petersen, Steve Ott, and Jamie Benn had the markers for Dallas.

Thomas Vanek provided the game-winner in the second period. Derek Roy added an empty-netter. Myers had one goal and three assists on the evening.

Ryan Miller made 17 saves, while Marty Turco stopped 38 shots.

The Sabres host Minnesota on Friday before leaving on a five-game road trip.
