Sabres lose again, drop third straight to Carolina

July 9, 2010 (Buffalo) Sabres forward Mike Grier said early on Friday that the team was "desperate" for a win. What are they now?? With their lead in the Northeast Division down to a point ,the Sabres gave up a 3-2 third period lead and lost 4-3 on Friday night to Carolina. The Hurricanes came to town as the last place team in the Eastern Conference.

With the game tied at 3 in the third period Carolina's Jussi Jokinen beat Ryan Miller from the left circle for the eventual game winner.

Drew Stafford had two goals for Buffalo in the loss. The Sabres have lost three straight for the first time this season, they are in Columbus on Saturday night.
