(Buffalo) It was another night, and another loss for the Buffalo Sabres against the Ottawa Senators. Wednesday's 4-2 loss was the Sabres 8th straight to the streaking Senators, who pushed their current winning streak to 10.
The Senators took the lead for good with under a minute to play when Daniel Alfredsson was left alone on the doorstep and beat Ryan Miller. Alfredsson also added an empty net goal in the Ottawa win.
Senators forward Jason Spezza scored the games first two goals to give Ottawa a 2-0 lead in the third period. The Sabres answered back with two goals in 27 seconds. The first by Andrej Sekera, the second by Tim Connolly, before Alfredsson scored the eventual game winner.
Ryan Miller made 34 saves for Buffalo in the loss. The Sabres host Carolina on Friday.
