The Buffalo Sabres snapped a four game losing skid on Friday, beating the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2.

Tim Connolly had two goals and two assists. Drew Stafford and Paul Gaustad netted the other two goals for the Sabres.

Mike Richards and Braydon Coburn scored for the Flyers. Both of Philadelphia's tallies came with under a minute remaining in the first period.

Patrick Kaleta was given a five-minute major penalty and game misconduct in the first period for boarding Philly's Jared Ross.

Gaustad and Craig Rivet both left the game with leg injuries. Buffalo head coach Lindy Ruff says both will "miss some time".

The Sabres return home on Saturday night to host Carolina.
